  1. FORGOTIT.EXE is a small Windows 95 desktop utility who has the same usage than
  2. the original trademark "Post It".
  3.  
  4. Forgot-It is useful for keeping notes and reminders on your Windows 95 desktop,
  5. rather than on hard to find little pieces of paper.
  6.  
  7. Forgot-It is shareware.  The price is U.S.$15

  11. A little yellow icon is placed on the Taskbar when Forgot-It is launched.
  12.  
  13. Click the LEFT mouse button on the yellow Forgot-It Taskbar icon to open the
  14. Forgot-It window.
  15. Clicking the RIGHT mouse button on the Forgot-It Taskbar icon will open
  16. a configuration menu.

  21. The following Shortcut Keys will function in the open Forgot-It window :

  23. ESC : Minimize the Forgot-It Window to the Task bar icon
  24. F2  : Save NOW the contents of Forgot-It. (Default is saved when closing Forgot-It)
  25. Alt-F4 or Alt-X : Exit Forgot-It
  26. Ctrl-A : Select All
  27. Alt-D  : Delete the whole note.
  28. Alt-F  : Select default Font.
  29. F1 : Help
  30. F2 : Save now!

  34. The open Forgot-It window will cycle through 10 different pages.
  35. Click on the left and right arrows next to the page numbers to cycle
  36. through the pages.

  38. You can open 4 different Forgot-It windows.

  42. Forgot-It will allow you to set alarms. To set an alarm, insert, in the note,
  43. the DATE that you want the alarm to activate, as follows:

  45. @01/12/96 (European format)
  46. or
  47. @12.01.96 (U.S.A. format)

  49. The note will appear with an alert box when the day is reached. (The examples
  50. above will generate an alarm on December 1, 1996.)
  51. Then Forgot-It will replace the '@' symbol with the '#' symbol indicating
  52. that the date for the alarm has passed.

  56. If you don't want the Forgot-It icon to appear on the Taskbar when the
  57. Forgot-It Window is open, you can remove it.
  58. To do this, edit POSTIT.INI (in the Windows directory), by adding the
  59. following line in the [Post-It] section:

  63. When you restart Forgot-It, the Forgot-It Icon will not appear in the Taskbar,
  64. and the menu bar on the open Forgot-It window will be a little smaller.

  68. About color selection :

  70. Windows don't enable every colors for an Edit-Window...Only no-dithered colors
  71. are useable for Edit-Windows when you are in 16colors or 256colors....
  72. If you select a bad color for Forgot-It, you should get 2 colors in the
  73. edit window : 1 for text, and one other for background...
  74. (Difficult to explain : Try by yourself...)
